Correction to 70th week and Jacob's Trouble

I want to make my last apology and correction to the "timeline" here at God's Timeline, Amazing Facts and Coincidences (Or Are They?) ( www.godstimeline.net ) And I am saying "last" apology and correction for this reason. If this last correction is proved out to be in error in a year's time from now, then it will be my apology to anyone who has taken what is presented here to heart. And that what has been presented here at this website as being nothing more than mere "Coincidences" of both scripture and seemingly historical fulfilling of them!
In trying to be brief in what this correction is, it is simply this. That what I had taught of the 70th week of Daniel as being identically the same as the last 7 years of "the time Jacob's Trouble"! This is what I had been taught from long ago of Bible prophecy, and I failed to question this over the last 10 to 12 years as I had done with other matters of prophetic scripture. However, a little over a month ago it has been brought to my mind and heart that this is not entirely true.
Over the years I have stressed the importance of the Lord's 2nd coming to fulfill the "Fall Feasts of the Lord" in a Sabbatical year! I do not deviate from this at all. But for those who want the "bottom line" or the point of my correction, it is to the following.
That the 70th week of Daniel IS A SABBATICAL CYCLE of 7 years and not identically the same as the last 7 years of Jacob's Trouble! The Sabbatical cycle runs concurrent to the last 7 years of Jacob's Trouble, BUT overlaps it by one year! Also meaning that the 70th week/ Sabbatical cycle begins one year later than the last 7 years of Jacob's Trouble! When discussing this change of interpretation of mine with a good friend and brother (John Molina) of the 70th week not being the same as the last 7 years of Jacob's Trouble, he sent me the following definition for the word "about" that is found in the Gospel of John.
John 7:14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.

As I have taught before and still do, that Christ comes at the time of the resurrection/ rapture, "in the midst of the week" (the 70th week of Daniel). because of His Advocacy as our High Priest!
Daniel 9:27 " And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
This is definitive as being IN THE MIDST of the week! The 70th week! But in John's account, it is "about" the midst of the fest (of 7 days- one week)!
It can't be both! It can't be "in the midst" and also, close to, adjacent, beside or nearby, unless there are two different weeks being referenced by these two passages of scripture! This is also why the 70th week referenced in Daniel, must be a Sabbatical week! And the week (7 days/ years) of the feast in John's Gospel is said to be "ABOUT" or adjacent/ beside the "midst of that feast"/ week when Christ comes "as it were in secret"! The "midst of" that feast of 7 days would be the 4th day/ year of the "time of Jacob's Trouble"!
But if it is "adjacent to, beside, or nearby" the midst of it, then it must be either the 3rd day/ year or the 5th day/ year! And then it must also line up to the definitive "midst of the week" in Daniel! And that then being the 4th day/ year of that week! This can only be true for both references to be fulfilled in the Jewish year of 2011 to 2012!
In the future on this website when you see the "70th week of Daniel" mentioned, just make a mental note (or a physical change to any docs. and charts that have not been updated by 6-12-11) that it is referring to the Sabbatical week and not to the last 7 years of Jacob's trouble! The last 7 years of Jacob's Trouble is PART OF the 70th week Daniel! BUT it is not all of it as it! As the 70th Sabbatical week overlaps it by a year!
This is simply able for the scriptures to be fulfilled that Jacob/ Israel will be saved out of His Trouble (Christ's 2nd advent) and then brought into the Lord's REST! And not only for the Jews/ people but for the whole earth/ world!
Jer. 30: Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
Isa. 14:5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
When I look at the reason (one of their sins) for the Jews being in captivity to Babylon in the first place and the judgment for how long it was to be, it became clear to me that the 70 weeks of Daniel were the simple continuation of time connected to the sabbatical cycles.
One of the main reasons that Israel was judged and sent into captivity/ exile was that she never observed the Lord's commandment to allow the land to lay fallow or at rest for the sabbatical year (see Levit. 26)
So, in trying to keep this short, the Lord's judgment was that Israel was to be in captivity for the 70 years (Dan. 9:1-2) and each year was for the sabbatical year not kept by the nation/ people. How many years in total and Sabbatical cycles (the 7th year) did this entail? 490 years or 70 sevens of the Sabbatical years! This is what Israel failed to keep and obey! They failed to keep and observe just one of those Sabbath years to the Lord in 490 years (Dan.9:24). This is identical in the length of time in the decree to Daniel for the time determined by God for what He will fulfill and keep!
Therefore, what did I take notice of? That the Lord' gave Israel 490 years to keep the Lord's Sabbath, they didn't and then the 70 years following in judgment, or 10 Sabbatical cycles (2Chron.36:20-21)! And the decree by Cyrus came in the last year of those 10 Sabbatical cycles for Israel to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple. The beginning of the next civil year (Rosh Hashanah) and the start of the next Sabbatical cycle began the 70 weeks of Daniel!
These are all Sabbatical years and the 7 year cycles attributed to them! Therefore, THE 70th WEEK MUST ALSO BE A SABBATICAL CYCLE OF 7 YEARS! This is and was my error! Not realizing that the 70th week of Daniel is that Sabbatical cycle that I had been teaching was all so important to Christ's 2nd coming and establishing of His Kingdom!
The 70 weeks are there/ DETERMINED to fulfill in total the following!
Dan. 9 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Now look, IF as I had taught in error that the last 7 years of Jacob's trouble were IDENTICAL (and not overlapping to the Sabbatical cycle) to that of the 70th week, AND that week were to end PRIOR to Rosh Hashanah, then the Lord could NEVER "finish/ complete" the vision/ prophecy concerning His 2nd coming or be anointed as King on Rosh/ Feast of Trumpets and to the fulfilling of the rest of the Lord's feasts! Why? Because if the 70th week ended just before Rosh/ Feast of Trumpets, then the fulfillment of these things would BE AFTER the determined time for them!
In trying to wrap up this correction, I want to point out a few very important things. First of all this correction, in no way alters my opinion as to when the Lord Jesus Christ should return to "save Jacob/ Israel" out of their trouble. I still firmly believe at this point that His coming in power and great glory (2nd advent) will be in the summer of 2014! And to bring Her and the world into His Kingdom beginning the Sabbatical year at the Feast of Trumpets in 2014 to 2015!
Second, is what the correction does change! And that change is to when and what week the Lord does come for His "church" in what is called the "resurrection/ rapture"! What I had previously taught was that the Lord would come for the "rapture", in the "midst of the week"! That week being the 70th week of Daniel! (again, this has NOT changed) And that the Lord would ALSO come "about the midst of the feast/ week" (as seen in the Gospel of John) of the sabbatical cycle!
This is where the difference or change is. And the result is that the Lord should still come in the "midst of the 70th Sabbatical week", which would be the 4th day/ year of said week. Which would be the Jewish year of Rosh Hashanah of 2011 to Rosh Hashanah of 2012! One year later than I had previously taught.
But, also that means that the Lord would or should come "about the midst of the feast/ week" of the last 7 years of Jacob's Trouble"! This would then be the 5th day/ year of those 7 days/ years!
Nothing actually changes pertaining to the 2nd coming of Christ and the establishing of His Kingdom in 2014! Only a clearer definition of the weeks involved has changed which then changes when the Lord would be coming "in the midst of" and "about the midst of"!
This is much more clearly seen in the typology of John's Gospel (chapter 7) in where the "week of the festival" (that of Tabernacles) BEGINS with a "Sabbath day" (year)! Clearly this is seen as the "time of Jacob's trouble", as NO Sabbatical week begins with a Sabbath day! But the 1st and primary interpretation is to the festival of 7 days. In which the Lord comes "about the midst" of it "as it were in secret"! But comes the 2nd time on the 7th day of the feast, openly, proclaiming salvation in Himself! This is the last 7 years of the "time of Jacob's trouble", as represented by the 1st 7 days of Tabernacles.
The second or underlying typology is that of the Sabbatical week. Which is also seen in full as the conclusion of it being the 8th day of Tabernacles, the Sabbath day! Now this makes much more sense in that Jesus will come at the END of Jacob's Trouble to save Jacob/ Israel out of it, to then bring her INTO HIS REST on that 8th day/ the Sabbath day! To then the completion of the 70th week of Daniel, which I now see as needing to be that Sabbatical cycle like all the others before it (the first 69 weeks)!
And that year of completion of the 70 weeks in the establishing of His Kingdom here on earth will be THE LORD'S JUBILEE!! Because it will be to all people who are His and the earth as his kingdom that will be given to Jesus Christ as the "kinsman Redeemer"! It will be to Him that all is given and returned for the price of sin that He paid for it at His cross! Now don't confuse the difference between the Lord's Jubilee and the jubilee for Israel/ the people! Israel's/ the people's jubilee can never be a sabbatical year! BUT it must follow a Sabbatical year! As does the Jewish year 2015 to 2016 being recognized by the Jews as the "year of Jubilee"!
In speaking of the "Lord's Jubilee", being the fulfilling of the Sabbatical cycles to that sabbatical year, look at all the Sabbatical cycles that were given to God's "time clock", Israel!
70 Sabbatical cycles (490 years) and Sabbath years (70 weeks) were given to Israel to observe and obey the commandment of God to let the land rest on that Sabbatical year (the 7th) (Lev. 25:1-7)! They didn't obey and thus the judgment of 10 Sabbatical cycles and the 70 years of captivity to Babylon and the Medo-Persian empires! Then comes the determined time to Daniel for the last 70 weeks or Sabbatical cycles to the establishing of the Kingdom of God! So what we have is:
the 1st 70 weeks + the 10 weeks in judgment of captivity + the last 70 weeks of Daniel = 150 weeks! What is the Biblical increment for the jubilee? It is that of 50! And 150 divided by the 50 = 3 !! Astounding!
BUT, what about those years involved to all of the set or determined sabbatical cycles that are to lead to the fulfillment of the Lord's GREAT JUBILEE with the completion of the 70th week of Daniel? All of those years total as follows to the sabbatical cycles.
1st 70 weeks + 490 years. Plus the 10 weeks of 70 years and the last 70 weeks of 490 years all equal to 1050 years in total! I do recall that the number 1050 has a special biblical gematria value but to exactly what I do not remember. And it is not the point here! But what is the point here that I'm trying to show is the COMPLETION in number of the Lord's Jubilee! It is not hard to see that the number 21 is very important to the COMPLETION of things to the Lord! As in the 21 years of Jacob's trouble and the 21 judgments of the seals, trumpets and vials of the "great tribulation" of the Revelation!
So when we look at all the years of the Sabbatical cycles in the 1050 years, how many 50 year "jubilee" cycles will be completed in them?
Yes, it is 1050 divided 50 = 21 !! I have no doubt that the 70th week of Daniel MUST be that of a Sabbatical cycle! Ending in what the Lord calls the year/ Sabbath unto the Lord, which will be complete in His Jubilee!
Again, with this minor correction. I have taught that the 70th week of Daniel (the errant last 7 years of Jacob's trouble) was to be known or defined as to when it begins by the Sabbatical cycle and Sabbath day year which would follow it! Now in retrospect, this is not true at all, but I had it backwards. You see, the Sabbatical years and their cycles never stopped after the 69th! Of which the Lord was to be crucified/ killed AFTER this Sabbatical cycle! He did BTW- no contradiction of scripture!
Now since the last week of Daniel (the 70th) was and in my opinion is to be a Sabbatical cycle, how would anyone know WHEN that Sabbatical cycle should begin?
In my opinion, it is the reverse! That the last Sabbatical cycle of Daniels 70 weeks will be able to be recognized by the beginning of the Lord's day (after 6000 years, the 7th day) and the signs that are to precede it (see Joel 2)! Of which, that day is also to be known as the "time of Jacob's trouble"! From which she/ Israel is to be save out of it!
Last of all for consideration are the days attributed to Daniel's 70th week! The question was asked and Daniel was told:
Dan.12: 6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Now the "end of these wonders", in my opinion is referring to the 70th week to when ALL these things shall be finished. Now I believe that the Lord is precise here in asking of the end of these "wonders" or the cause and effect for this time of Great tribulation such as the world has not seen before or since.
Dan. 12: 1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. See Jesus re-quote this in; Matt. 24; Mark 13!
And this "cause and effect" is in my opinion that of Satan being cast out and hence the reference to Michael the arch Angel standing up at that time. And the effect is that of the "abomination that makes desolate"! From which again the cause of this is that of Satan empowering the Anti Christ for whom the image is made.
Now back to Daniel and what the Lord told him concerning these wonders in that it shall be for a " a time, times, and an half;" Or for 3 & 1/2 years! The last 3 & 1/2 years of the 70th week/ the Sabbatical week! Now if we look at these years as "days" we also have 3 & 1/2 days! Each day for a year, or each year for a day! Now what did Jesus say about these wonders or the "cause and effect" in the time or days given to them?
Matt5. 24: 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Now the time or days that are to be shortened are to the reasons or cause and effects of the time of great tribulation! Not to the 70th week itself!
Now is it, or can it be as simple as this; that the days/ years are shortened for the elects sake from the 3 & 1/2 days/ years is by one year? To then be that of 2 & 1/2 days or years from when they begin to when Jesus Christ will return to put an end to the time of great tribulation? And the shortening of that time and days will put the Lord's coming for the elects sake to save Israel (and those whom he has chosen- gentiles included; Mark: 20And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.) OUT OF JACOB'S TROUBLE! To then enter into His Millennial and Sabbatical year of Jubilee and REST! TO FULFILL ALL TO THE COMPLETION OF AND STILL IN THE 70th WEEK OF DANIEL!
Is it, or can it be this simple?
Now to the "resurrection/ Rapture"! I believe that the Lord will accomplish this, as I stated before, in the "midst of the 70th week"! I believe that it will be in the spring of 2012 (as in error previously believed in 2011)!
I am not speculating on when precisely! Nor am I not even counting any of these days/ months of the Days of Daniel. If you are that concerned, then you can look at our previous charts and simply adjust the timing by the appropriate year! I am not sure if I will re-edit all the charts and articles to reflect this change in understanding of mine as to what and when is the 70th week of Daniel.
